  • Research experiences from food biotechnology (Characterization of bacterial community in raw milk cheese), basic and applied research (Metagenomics of soil samples and analysis of bacterial genes) (1998-2005)
  • Research experiences with the foodborne pathogen Campylobacter jejuni (poultry slaughter isolates), food-related stress resistance, and bioinformatics. (2006-2010)
  • Food safety and risk assessment in the poultry industry, and assistance in the reduction of Campylobacter at broiler meat production by the implementation of base line studies, intervention methods and risk assessment. (2011-2012)
